The city of Manta hits it BIG on American Television!

Garrett Parker lived his whole life in insular Alaska. It wasn't until college - and his father moving away to Ecuador - that he began to see journey in his future. After saving up by working long, hard hours on the Alaskan pipeline, Garrett is ready to join his father in investing along the coast of Ecuador. Manta is a dream for a young investor. Prices are low and the tide is high. And with help from dear old dad - a real estate agent - Garrett is hoping to snag a sweet beach house for his $150 thousand dollar budget. However, his dad, Richard, thinks a condo is a better investment in this still rapidly developing city. Will Garrett listen to fatherly advice and choose a condo? Or will his search for a good time lure him to the best party house on the beach? Find out when House Hunters International hangs ten in Manta, Ecuador.

Ecuadorean Coastal Tours visit NORTH ...part 2

VISITING JAMA....
text: Richard Parker

For a brief vacation this Holiday weekend in Ecuador I traveled up to Jama which is north of Canoa by an hour. Like always I found Jama very laid back and "tranquilo" as there are only a few small restaurants and no entertainment to speak of. This fit bill for one day though as I was there looking for farmland which is abundant in that area.  We were lucky to find a 3,500 acre tract right on the river that has belonged to the same family for over 40 years. This is important because there are many farms out there that are in the names of many families and you can almost never untangle the mess. It may also come back to haunt you in years to come when out of the blue you get a lawsuit for property you stole from the rightful owner. After a quick title search in Jama to ensure our farmer is the proper owner, we headed back to Canoa to celebrate “The Battle of Pichincha”

By the way, I have several friends with large plots of land overlooking the ocean in this area also. One is John Lochnicht who owns Vista Azule properties. See him on Facebook...

enjoy the pictures..

A beautiful farm with a river running thru it.

This is a working farm with 600 dairy cattle.

Hostal Baloo owned by Phillipe is now for sale in Canoa. See on our website:
www.ecuadoreancoastalproperties.com

Owners of La Vista Hostal pose in the bar of their beautiful building right on the beach in Canoa. More to come on their listing and life in Canoa...See this and more at www.ecuadoreancoastalproperties.com

Breakfast at Tiffanies. Well, ok it is at Hostal Baloo for only $3.50 with great coffee included. My good friend Daniel from Texas enjoys it to the last drop.

Ecuadorean Coastal Tours visit NORTH ...part 1

Mention any time of year, winter, spring, summer or fall and Manta will be the best choice you can find on the Ecuadorean Coast.
But occasionally (no matter how much we enjoy our job to transform dreams into realities -Ecuadorean Coastal Properties - we need to take a break, a second-breath of fresh air that allows us to refresh ideas and continue creative and innovative ways to keep providing our customers and friends, high quality services...

After working three weeks straight without any downtime, we all realized that some time off was needed. The ECP Roversaurus (a Land Rover Defender) was packed and headed North to the community of Canoa and even beyond, to look for large blocks of land for, among other things... farming.

"Arriving to Canoa after dark is always an awakening experience" which was the collective thought of the team, we had not visited Canoa for several months and the difference was astonishing.

The urban transformation was unbelievable. For a moment, you might think it´s Montanita - Ecuador instead of Canoa. There were many more Hostels and arts and craft shops. Canoa was crowded with young people from all over the Globe and the feeling was electrifying.

For the soul´s delight, We found good friends from My Alaska who owns the “Surf Shack”, -Ohh! the beer was sooo cold after two days of hiking farms and horseback riding. Not to mention the pizza which we scarfed down in minutes.

With the company of Dan, a friend from Texas, we went out to visit a few bars and dance establishments only to find youngsters having a great time…A few more beers and many pictures later, we were ready for bed....nothing else to tell at this time ha!

Enjoy some sites of the local dancing fever in Canoa....

stay tuned for the second part of the story....

"Manta sunsets...no words needed"

La noche cae, 21 de abril 2011......y todo esta listo para empezar el GRAN CONCIERTO....
Calle 13, performance of the season!
